Disposable sterile filtration units for microbiological analysis by the membrane filtration method. They reduce up to 70% the time of analysis, minimizing the risk of cross contamination. Sterilized by gamma radiation.

Monitors

Features

- 100 ml Funnel.
- Lid with magnifying glass for colony count.
- Base (support of filter membrane and combined with lid converts to Petri dish).
- Cellulose nitrate filter membrane.
- Cellulose pad (absorbent disc for culture media).
- Polyethylene plug.

Decreases approximately a 70% of the time spent during the traditional process.

-Sterilized by gamma radiation, eliminating all the sterilization steps of the traditional membrane filtration method.
-Disposable.

Two Models
MIC: The membrane is not welded to the base. Microclar culture media can be applied or it can be removed in order to use optional culture media and to preserve it as evidence.
MIP: The membrane is welded to the base, to be used with Microclar culture media vials.
Retention: 0.2; 0.45; 0.65; 0.8; 1.2 u.
Membrane color: white, black, green, all gridded.
Presentation: Box with 50 units, individually packed in easy to open polyethylene bags and 5 connectors.

Uses

Ideal to determine contaminants in liquid samples from bulk to finished products. Recommended for all types
of microbiological analysis.

How to Use

Remove the protective bag, get off the plug from the base placing the monitor on the connector previously
placed on the manifold or drilled silicone stopper. Remove the lid of the funnel, pour the sample into the funnel and filter applying vacuum. Remove the funnel and distribute the culture media over the membrane filter. Apply vacuum briefly to allow the culture media to go through the membrane and be absorbed by the cellulose pad. Remove the lid from the funnel and cover the base with it. Remove the base from the manifold or silicone stopper and close the bottom port of the base with the previously removed plug. Incubate the so created Petri dish for the time and temperature required according to the culture media.
